AstLinux 0.7.9 Released
The AstLinux Team announces the 0.7.9 release. There are several updates and bug fixes related to Asterisk. All current users are encouraged to upgrade at your earliest convenience.
AstLinux 0.7.8 Release
The AstLinux Team announces the 0.7.8 release. There are several updates and bug fixes related to Asterisk. Please note that Cisco 79xx phone users should NOT use the 1.8.4 release. There is a known bug that only affects Cisco phone registrations. All other AstLinux users are encouraged to update to this release.
AstLinux 0.7.7 Release

The AstLinux Team announces the 0.7.7 release. There are several updates and bug fixes related to Asterisk as well as the inclusion of PPTP as a VPN option. All current AstLinux users are encouraged to update to this release.
AstLinux 0.7.6 Release
The AstLinux Team is happy to announce the 0.7.6 release. There are several security updates as well as updates and improvements to other areas. Namely, the scripts used to configure Sangoma hardware now work properly. We’ve also included support for the OSLEC software echo canceller.
All current AstLinux users are encouraged to upgrade to these latest releases. Asterisk 1.4.39.1 and 1.8.2.3 are supported in separate firmware images.
AstLinux 0.7.5 Release
The AstLinux Team is happy to announce the first release of 2011. 0.7.5 includes several security updates, bug fixes and new features. Please read the Changelog for a full list of updates.
AstLinux 0.7.4 Release
The AstLinux Team is happy to announce the next release from the 0.7 branch. There are several security updates and fixes. All current AstLinux users should upgrade immediately.
This release is a dual release with both stable versions of Asterisk. You have your choice of using Asterisk 1.4.36 or Asterisk 1.8.0. While Asterisk 1.8.0 is considered stable by Digium, you will want to do thorough testing before using it in production.
AstLinux 0.7.3 release
The next release in the 0.7 branch is ready for use. There are several security updates and fixes included in this release. All AstLinux users are encouraged to update to this release.
The AstLinux Team is happy to announce the release of 0.7.3.
Please read the following pages before attempting to upgrade from a previous release.
Select which target most closely matches your system. The bootable ISO images are intended for testing. For a new installation, use one of the install images.
**Please note that we are aware of issues booting from SATA and USB devices and hope to correct those issues before the next release**
As with the 0.7.2 release, sound files are not included in the base image. You MUST install sound files using the instructions on the following page:

AstLinux 0.7.0 release
The long awaited first official release from the 0.7 branch of AstLinux is now available for download. Select the 0.7.0 version under “Get AstLinux” on this page for the download link. Existing 0.6.x users can upgrade, but should read these instructions before doing so.
The AstLinux Team would like to thank everyone involved in the release process. There have been many significant changes that could not have happened without feedback from users.
AstLinux 0.6.7 released
The Astlinux Development Team is happy to announce the release of AstLinux 0.6.7. This release is a security and bugfix release with no new features. All current users of AstLinux are encouraged to upgrade.
Current users can upgrade either from the web interface or by issuing the following commands from the CLI.
upgrade-run-image check http://mirror.astlinux.org/firmrware
(which should report … Newest available version is: astlinux-0.6.7)
then
upgrade-run-image upgrade http://mirror.astlinux.org/firmware
New users can download the installation images or ISO images from the Sourceforge project site. Note that sourceforge made some changes so not all 0.6.7 versions appear under ‘newest files’. You’ll need to browse to the bottom of the files page to the 0.6.7

Astlinux-0.6.6 released
The AstLinux project is happy to announce the latest release of AstLinux.
Astlinux-0.6.6 is now available for download or upgrade.
New users should go to the http://www.astlinux.org website and follow the instructions for a new installation.
Current users can upgrade their existing 0.6.x installations either from the web interface or by issuing the following command from the CLI.
upgrade-run-image check http://mirror.astlinux.org/firmware (verify that it says the latest available is 0.6.6)
then run upgrade-run-image upgrade http://mirror.astlinux.org/firmware
The only change from the previous release is the version of Asterisk (now 1.4.25).
